Tidal wave higher than 4 meters, caused big damages in the coastal area of the village Kranevo, BTA reported. Today the sea is a bit quiet, but we wait for water to move back and then the Committee from the Municipality has to go round the village and to evaluate the damage, said the mayor of Kranevo Rumen Nikolov. “absorb ”the beach in recent days.
From the coastal plain, which is thirty meters wide can be seen only five or six meters sand. Everything else is under water. The yard of children’s camp is also flooded and a part of the fence is carried away. The water reaches to bungalow’s windows on the beachfront. Some bars –wooden tents are destroyed also. In the water can be seen fridges, broken benches and fishing boats, describes Nikolov. Hotel’s basements are flooded. The mayor added that people in the village didn’t remember such a high tidal wave. They observed the damage from hundred meters away, because they couldn’t wade in the water.
